You are a stay at home mom who now wants to be or needs to be a work from home mom.

You’re a mom and you’ve never really had a fulltime job or steady income, or you haven’t needed to work at all, but now you are realising that you need to bring in a little extra income, or you may just want to earn some money for yourself so that you can feel more independent.

You still want to stay at home, though.

So you decide to become a work from home mom in addition to being a stay at home mom.

What to do? You haven’t a clue.

You should try and do something that you enjoy or that you are at least familiar with. You can get more work done when you enjoy what you do, or when you know how to do something well.

When working for yourself the more time that you can spend working, the more you money you may earn, but this is harder to do well if you don’t enjoy what you do, or if you are struggling to do something well because you don’t yet know too much about it.

If you have the time, learn more about something that interests you greatly, and then do work related to it (offer a service or sell a product).

If you are not sure where your interests lie, think about your day. What do you do each day? What do you know quite a bit about? What do you enjoy? What are you good at?

If you are a stay at home mom and you like pottering in the garden, do something related to gardening. Sell your own plants.

If you are a stay at home mom and you enjoy making homemade educational toys for your child, make more and sell them.

If you enjoy teaching your kids all sorts of things, give lessons or classes to other kids too, whose mothers may not be able to stay at home.

If you enjoy photography, frame your best pictures and sell them, or start a digital photo editing service if you’re good with Photoshop.

If you enjoy writing, start blogging for money.

Even if you’re a stay at home mom who doesn’t really need the money, being able to sometimes spoil yourself a little more than usual, or being able to spoil your child or children a little more than usual, will give you pleasure and a feeling of independence.

You could also give the money you make to charity. Not everyone is able to work, or is able to find a job.
