Here is a free 2014 calendar for you to print out for those of you who love sea glass. We love sea glass too and enjoyed taking photos of the sea glass we found on beaches in or near East London in South Africa.

We hope we’ve managed to add interesting sea glass photos to this free 2014 calendar, and we tried to include most of the colours of sea glass that we have found. We’ve mostly found white, green and brown sea glass pieces on our local beaches, but do also sometimes find more interesting colours of sea glass or colours of sea glass that are more rare than white, green and brown.

We did have a photo of some brown and black sea glass pieces, but they weren’t very nice pieces of sea glass and the photo wasn’t so great, so we didn’t include it as one of the 12 sea glass photos for this free 2014 calendar. Many of the few black pieces of sea glass that we find are not really black at all, but do look black at first glance. One holds the black pieces of glass up to a source of light or to the sun to see the true colour that the glass once was and sometimes that true colour is visible only at the very edges of the pieces of sea glass.

Sea glass is also known as beach glass and is pieces of glass that wash up on the beach or that are on the beach already and have been tumbled about by the waves, sand and weather conditions. The longer the sea glass pieces are lying around before they are found, the smoother, frostier and better looking the pieces are, and many of the pieces can be used to make lovely jewellery items like necklace pendants, bracelets etc.
